It's raining here in Cali! First time really since like March ... there was one afternoon in August where Danielle and I got sprinkled on while out walking, but that was it for summer precipitation. Even then, when we got back to our house the sidewalk was dry, it had only rained on the East side of town. Much of California works like this, very dry from March through October, which is why we get so many wildfires.
Over the next couple weeks the hills will spring back to life after being a parched golden brown all summer. The seeds from last spring will sprout and they'll get several months of growing before drying out in May.
